Life is great
and Everything is ok.
Life is as sweet as pie.
Life will never die.
But there is a price to pay
for this bliss in me.
The world struggles on.
And now another scene is shown
where I am a brat and a snob.
I will get mad if I am robbed
of only 3 dollars.
Still the world struggles on.
I become corrupt and angry
evil and full of sin.
Still the world struggles on.
We will all be full of bliss forever
our lives we will never sever
And we are smarter than ever.
Still the world struggles on.
No matter how far we evolve or disevolve
The world will still struggle on.
What does this poem mean? Does it speak about our apathy to our world today and its happenings?
I'm also a little confused.
The words of the song come to mind...
"To Everything Turn Turn Turn
There is a season
Turn Turn Turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven"
So many are the expressions of feelings
and life happenings that we each go through.
All the while where each of us is at...
Whether blissful or snobbish,
Whether full of rage and anger or
At the height of educational achievements..
It it all the same in that
The world struggles on
The world struggles on
The world struggles on
As we evolve, taking on more ~ advancing
As we disevolve, loosing gains ~ retreating
All the while
The world struggles on

Well its trying to say, although I kind of messed it up, is that no matter how good things are or how advanced we are, we still have to conquer our demons. That's why I say and the world struggles on. You could say its a battle between rich and poor also.
Although That could be a gould interpretation as well Iris.
oh, Ok that makes more sense.
True, very true. You do great.
